Gabrielle Mitchell-Bonds (she/they) is a student at Harvard College studying Art History and History & Literature. Her multidisciplinary interests center Black/queer/women lineages in visual and literary arts interrogating sites of culture and memory. In her studies, she sees a unique opportunity for an intersection between memory work, archival work, and artistic practice, focusing on how contemporary Black artists use the power of the visual to remember and reclaim modes of ancestral storytelling. Her writing practice and usage of physical, digital, and embodied archives imagines the arts as an expansive, transformative field of love for community care.
