We had a lot to celebrate on Saturday night! We debuted Issue 15 of our print magazine, revealed our brand-new mapping platform, Radar, and toasted to Street Theory Collective’s new Central Square space.

Thank you to Liza and Victor Quiñonez, Central Square BID, and the entire Street Theory Collective crew for their generosity and hospitality.

Our launch events are always a collaborative effort. In many ways, the parties function as an extension of the work we do in print. We partner with local organizations, hire local chefs, and uplift small businesses—all of whom are creatives that we want to celebrate both on and off the page. I am immensely grateful to the many volunteers, partners, hosts, and sponsors who make these events possible.

WHAT WE GATHERED AROUND

Disco ball tables, gleaming sofas, and every dazzling detail in the space were designed by Kadeema Rentals with production by Sheldon Gray of Dive Bar Caviar Events & Public Relations. The mossy, experiential floral designs were provided by by B.InBloom.

WHAT WE HEARD

We hit the dance floor with sets by DJs AL-B, Stealth Mode, and Patchwork—the powerhouse ladies behind Spin the BottleDJ Rayvino shut it down with us at 1am while Sound Logic’s speakers powered the entire night. Thank you to Michael Monestime and Central On Air supporting our music for the evening!

WHAT WE SAW

Huge thank you to the ILLUMINUS team who worked swiftly to transform Street Theory’s space with five high-powered projectors. Projection mapping was managed by Liv Curry and custom lighting was provided by Jim Manning

WHAT WE ATE & DRANK

Guests enjoyed flavorful bites from Chef Nyanyika Banda of Martha’s Daughter and author of the Official Wakanda Cookbook, alongside a decadent caviar and oyster bar with housemade chips and dips by Chef Greg Reeves of Althea & Vialé. We grazed our way through a stunning cheese cake display by EDEX Provisions, complemented by artful shortbread cookies from Sweet Botanical Bakes. Beverages were thoughtfully designed and expertly staffed by EB & FLOW, featuring Signature LemonadeNew England Sweetwater Distillery Specialty Vodka & RumCurrently Wine Co., and a delightful Vietnamese Iced Coffee twist by Lé Madeline.
